अहं वा सर्वभूतेषु सर्वभूतान्यथो मयि।
इति ज्ञानं तथैतस्य 
न त्यागो न ग्रहो लयः ॥६-४॥
I exist in everyone like everyone is in me. This is Knowledge. This is neither to be renounced nor to be accepted but to be one with it.॥4॥
मैं समस्त प्राणियों में हूँ जैसे सभी प्राणी मुझमें हैं। यह ज्ञान है, इसका न त्याग करना है और न ग्रहण बस इसके साथ एकरूप होना है॥४॥

एवं ज्ञात्वा कृतं कर्म पूर्वैरपि मुमुक्षुभिः। कुरु कर्मैव तस्मात्वं पूर्वैः पूर्वतरं कृतम्‌॥
..... All the liberated souls in ancient times acted with this understanding of My transcendental nature. Therefore you should perform your duty, following in their footsteps....
भावार्थ : पूर्वकाल में मुमुक्षुओं ने भी इस (ज्ञानकर्मसंन्यासयोग) को जानकर ही कर्म किए हैं, इसलिए तू भी पूर्वजों द्वारा सदा से किए जाने वाले कर्मों को ही कर॥4.15॥
